In the second round of the competition, Phil, who received joker, defeated Spaniard Roberto Bautista-Aguta, seeded fourth, 6:3, 6:4. Note that this is only Arthur’s second victory at the ATP level.
Phil’s encounter with Bautista-Agut lasted 1 hour and 27 minutes.
The Frenchman’s next opponent will be the winner of the match Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina (Spain, 5) – Kenten Alice (France).
