Moroccan tennis player Younes Rashidi suspended for life for participating in 135 fixed matches, according to the website of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).
Rashidi was found guilty on all counts against him. It is forbidden for a Moroccan to play, train or attend any tennis event authorized or sanctioned by the governing bodies of tennis. Additionally, the 36-year-old tennis player was fined $34,000.
Rashidi was involved in match-fixing with two Algerian tennis players recently suspended by the ITIA. Their violations were proven after an investigation by law enforcement in conjunction with the ITIA in Belgium.
It should be noted that Rashidi became the record holder for the number of violations detected in the history of ITIA and its predecessor.
The best position of the Moroccan in the ATP ranking in singles is 753, in doubles – 473.
