Ukrainian plays in a duet with German Anna-Lena Friedsam
Ukrainian tennis player Hope Kichenok and the representative of Germany Anna-Lena Friedsam advanced to the semi-finals of the doubles tournament WTA 250 V Linz.
In the 1/4 finals match, Kichenok and Fridzam defeated the duet of Han Xinyun and Lidia Morozova. The fight lasted almost one hour.
In the first set, Nadezhda and Anna-Lena made three breaks and got the victory – 6:3. In the second installment, the Ukrainian and the German left no chance for their opponents – 6:1.
In the semi-finals, Kichenok and Friedsam will play against fourth seeds Caitlin Christian and Sabrina Santamaria.
Nadezhda and Anna-Lena competed together at two tournaments last season. The pair reached the semi-finals at the WTA 125 tournament in Tampico and played in the final of the WTA 125 tournament in Midland.
It should be noted that today Friedsam defeated the first racket of Ukraine Angelina Kalinina in the 1/8 finals of the singles tournament in Linz – 6:3, 7:5.
