Potapova picked up a voluntary victory over Friedsam and reached the semi-finals of the tournament in Austria

Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova defeated Germany’s Anna-Lena Friedsam in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Linz, Austria.

Losing in the first set 2:6, Potapova then managed to win back in the second game and win the deciding set with a devastating score of 6:1.

The match lasted 1h44, the Russians made 5 sets from one end to the other and 4 double faults.

Potapova’s semi-final rival will be Czech tennis player Marketa Vondrousova.
