In the semi-final match of the selection, Karatsev defeated the representative of the Netherlands Zidane Pontiodicromo with the score 6:4, 6:3. The meeting lasted 1h13. Karatsev had 10 hits, double faulted twice and converted three out of five break points.
To enter the main draw of the competition in Rotterdam, Karatsev will fight with the winner of the match Yuri Rodionov (Austria) – Arthur Rinderknesh (France, 2).
