The former first racket of Ukraine, after 12 years of marriage, decided to divorce his wife.
Sergei Stakhovsky, who went to the front to fight the Kremlin troops, divorced his Russian wife. This was revealed by the former first racket of Ukraine in Bakhmut, in an interview with Ukrainian Witness.
According to the famous tennis player, the Russo-Ukrainian war was the reason for such a decision.
“I am a lonely person. I am comfortable alone. During the first months of the war, I talked more with my family, because I was in Kyiv, and they were in Belogorodka.
I talked to my children, my wife, because at that time I was still trying to sort everything out, what was happening here, I apologize for such a word. And the fact that they live there in some normal environment does not mean that everything is like this in Ukraine. Because in Ukraine it is completely different here, people lost children, parents, families.
– Is your wife from Siberia?
– Yes, Kemerovo.
– You broke up in the middle of the fact that you had a fight?
– Yes. The war accelerated it. He speeds up the processes of mutual understanding. Shown in black and white. This is where you live or die. Or even hurt. There is no such thing here that you can make some kind of policy, somehow agree. Everything is so simple and scary sometimes.
– Do you regret this decision?
– Sorry for the children. All my life, I was sure that I would never do such a thing. Here, for some reason, I am ashamed, because this will be the biggest blow for my children,” said Stakhovsky.
Note that Sergei Stakhovsky and Anfisa Bulgakova got married in September 2011. They have three children: daughter Taisia and sons Nikifor and Alex. Today, Stakhovsky serves in the ranks of the National Guard.
