Daniel Medvedev decently played in the quarter-finals of the Rotterdam tournament, but it is too early to say that he has recovered, according to the president of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Shamil Tarpishchev.
In the quarterfinals, Medvedev beat the eighth racket of the Canadian world Felix Auger-Alyassime with a score of 6:2, 6:4. The win snapped Daniil’s nine-game losing streak against top 10 ATP ranked tennis players.
– It’s too early to say that Medvedev has recovered. The main thing now is not form, but confidence and psychology. In the match with Auger-Aliassime, Daniil played decently. The most important thing is that there are no injuries: the form will gradually win, – said Tarpischev “Championship”.
In the semi-finals, Medvedev will meet the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov .
