One of the solutions to the problem is a ban on the issuance of British visas to tennis players from Russia and Belarus
At british tennis association (LTA) may select tournaments under the auspices of the ATP and WTAif the British will extend the ban on performances of Russian and Belarusian tennis players.
According to the Daily Mail, if the sanctions are extended, the LTA could lose Wimbledon, and the tournaments in Eastbourne and the Queen’s Club tournament in London.
It is possible that the British may sell the licenses of their tournaments to foreign federations and they will hold them elsewhere. Also, the British government can help the organizers if it refuses to issue visas to representatives of the aggressor countries. In this case, this would save LTA from sanctions from the ATP and WTA.
Recall that in December the ATP fined the organizers of Wimbledon one million dollars for the removal of Russians and Belarusians.
In April 2022, the organizers of Wimbledon decided to remove Russian and Belarusian tennis players from participation in the tournament in connection with the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.
The decision to remove athletes from Russia and Belarus was supported by Andy Murray, as well as the Tennis Federation of Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Finland. Novak Djokovic and Andrei Rublev opposed the inadmissibility of representatives of the aggressor countries to Wimbledon.
