Ukrainian tennis player Alexey Krutykh made it to the main draw of the series tournament ATP 250 V Doha (Qatar).
In the decisive qualifying match, Aleksey defeated the seventh seeded Pavel Kotov, who played in a neutral status. The three-set duel lasted almost two hours.
In the first set, Alexey lost, losing two of his own serves. In the second installment, the Ukrainian finally managed to make a break. In the decisive set, Krutykh won two serves from Kotov and scored a comeback victory in the match. Note that after the fight, Alexey did not shake hands with the Russian.
Krutykh will play in the main draw of an ATP tournament for the first time. Among the potential rivals of Alexei are Jiri Legechka (Czech Republic), Jack Draper (Great Britain) or another tennis player who has qualified.
