At the Rotterdam tournament, special attention was paid to Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev. In the 1/4 finals, a difficult match took place against the Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime. Daniil Medvedev also won in straight sets – 6:2, 6:4. The semi-final match against Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov turned out to be no less intense. The scoreboard shows a confident victory of the Russian in straight sets – 6:1, 6:2. However, to achieve this, it took a lot of effort.
On Sunday February 19, the final of the tournament took place in Rotterdam. Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev met with Italian representative Yannick Sinner. The first set ended with the defeat of Medvedev with the score 5:7. However, the Russian managed to achieve a voluntary victory, winning the next two sets – 6:2, 6:2.
Thus, Daniil Medvedev won the ATP tournament. This happened for the first time since October 2022. Moreover, the Russian will return to the top ten in the world rankings.
