Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova took 9th place in the WTA Championship race this season.
Last week, the Russian reached the semi-finals of the Doha tournament, where she lost to the world’s number one racket, Iga Sventek. The points scored lifted Kudermetova from 13th to 9th position with 640 points to her name.
Swiatek, in turn, scored 835 points in the 2023 season standings and came in 7th place. The current race leader is Belarusian tennis player Arina Sobolenko (2470 points).
