Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk lost in the second round of the tournament WTA 1000 V Dubai (UAE).
In a tense duel, Marta lost to the eighth seeded Swiss Belinda Bencic. The three-set duel lasted almost three and a half hours.
In the first set, the Swiss took the lead with a break. However, Kostyuk managed to return the serve, and won in a tie-break.
In the second game, Marta did not keep the advantage of two games, Bencic was now stronger in the tie-break. In the decisive set, the Swiss managed to snatch victory, winning the match as well.
Earlier, in the second round of the tournament in Dubai, Ukrainian Angelina Kalinina defeated another compatriot Dayana Yastremska. In the next match, Kalinina will play with Karolina Pliskova from the Czech Republic.
