Podoroska has experienced hip discomfort in recent months which has kept her from competing regularly and for this reason, after losing this Tuesday in Mérida 6-3, 7-5 against Ukrainian Rebecca Peterson, she will be more than ready to return to the level including one who in 2020 was a semifinalist at Roland Garros.
“Today was quite a difficult game for me. I could not play like I used to play at any time. Rebecca started very well, strong. I was not comfortable, I had to have some consistency and concentration on the level of thinking. It’s something physical and what it means to me now,” said the 26-year-old tennis player.
