Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev overcame the quarter-final stage of the Doha ATP tournament by beating Australian Christopher O’Connell.
In the first set, Medvedev immediately won two games on someone else’s serve, led 4-0 and finished the match with confidence. Then the Russian lost in the second set and took the third with a break. The match lasted 1h56.
Daniil’s opponent in the semi-final of the tournament will be determined later on Thursday, he will be the winner of the match between Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina (Spain) and Felix Auger-Alyassim (Canada).
Earlier, Andrei Rublev dropped out of the tournament, losing in the quarterfinals to Czech Jiri Legechka.
