Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev said he is in good shape and hopes to continue his successful performances.
On Saturday, Medvedev defeated Britain’s Andy Murray (6:4, 6:4) in the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Doha. The Russian won the second tournament in a row and won the 17th ATP title of his career in singles. Previously, he had won the Rotterdam tournament.
– It was a tough game. It was a little windy today so we both struggled to find our rhythm… Today was a big fight for both of us. Sometimes we played badly, then all of a sudden we both played amazing and I’m happy to win.
I managed to find momentum in Rotterdam. The first two games I played there were difficult. Before this tournament, I didn’t feel very well, and then, from the quarter-finals against Félix Auger-Alyassime, I started to find my rhythm.
I really started to play well. I serve better, I move better. It was hard for Andy to hit me today, and now the question is if it can continue. I will try to extend this as long as possible,” Medvedev told the ATP website.
