Ukrainian beat Daniel Rincon from Spain
Ukrainian tennis player Ilya Marchenko made it to the finals of the Challenger qualification in the American city Waco.
In two sets, the Ukrainian beat the 11th seeded Daniel Rincon from Spain. The fight lasted over two hours.
In the first set, the opponents took one foreign serve each, after which Ilya won in a tie-break. In the second game, Marchenko quickly pulled ahead, and then, having missed his serve, won the set at the reception.
The Ukrainian will compete with the Japanese Shintaro Mochizuki for the right to play in the main draw of the Challenger in Waco. Earlier, Marchenko lost in the final qualification in Cleveland, and also lost in the first round of the tournament in American Rome.
