Djokovic breaks record for longest stay at top of world tennis rankings

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic set a new record for the duration of being on the first row of the world rankings.

According to the update ATP Ranking , published on February 27, Djokovic is once again at the top of the list. In the status of the first racket in the world, the Serb was for the 378th time – this is the best indicator in history for both men and women.

The previous world achievement belonged to Germany’s Steffi Graf, who won 22 Grand Slam titles during her career – she topped the WTA rankings for 377 weeks.

In the ATP rankings, Djokovic is ahead of Spaniard Carlos Alcaras and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, who are in the top 3. The best Russians at the moment are Andrey Rublev (6th) and Daniil Medvedev (7th).
