Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal announced his intention to perform at Roland Garros next season.
Previously, the 36-year-old reached the semi-finals of the competition in Paris, beating the number one Serbian world ranking number Novak Djokovic .
“I’m sure I can come back. I accept things as they are. I don’t intend to make it look like a goodbye. We continue to work on a solution to my foot injury. I intend to return to Roland Garros next year.
I’m old enough not to hide something or come here to say something I don’t believe in,” Nadal said as quoted by Eurosport.
To reach the final, Nadal will play with Germany’s representative, Alexander Zverev. The meeting will take place on June 3.
Nadal has won 13 Roland Garros titles in his career.
