Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev told how he managed to defeat the Serb Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of the Dubai tennis tournament (UAE).
The Russian won in straight sets with a score of 6:4, 6:4 and will play in the final with his compatriot Andrei Rublev.
– When you play against Novak, you have to show your best tennis. And somewhere to hope he won’t play his best game. After all, he has won 22 Grand Slams. So even with your best game it will be difficult for you and no one guarantees victory over Djokovic.
Today, we managed to surpass it. I managed to maintain my concentration and I’m happy to play tomorrow in the final, – quote the words of the Russian Press office ATP.
Medvedev extended his winning streak to 13 games and broke his personal record for most consecutive wins in a single season.
Two representatives of Russia will meet in the deciding match of the ATP singles tournament for the first time since October 12, 2008.
