Rublev said serve was a huge advantage for Medvedev in the tournament final in Dubai

Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev said the submission was a serious advantage for fellow countryman Daniil Medvedev in the final of the Dubai tournament.

Medvedev beat Rublev 6-2, 6-2 in the tournament’s final match on Saturday. The former world No. 1 extended his winning streak to 14 matches and won his third consecutive ATP title.

– In the first game a bit unlucky. We had a tough, tough match in which I lost serve. That’s all. Daniel played very well today. It’s hard to play with these players when they serve at over 200 km/h with such a high first-serve percentage and you don’t hit them often.

The deposit often saved Daniil. In every game, he won a lot of points just because of her. In my case, I may have gained a point or two, and other times I had to play long rallies. It became a huge advantage for him.

I think Daniil brings fun times to tennis because sometimes he goes off the beaten track. Sometimes it seems to me that he has no coordination. When he does weird things on the pitch, they look very funny.

With Daniil we have a great connection off the pitch. We understand each other very well. We can laugh at stupid things, we always have a good time if we play some tournaments together,” Rublev told a press conference.
