In the third set, a girl ran down the court and chained herself to the net, forcing the organizers to stop the game. On the activist’s T-shirt was the inscription “We have 1028 days left”.
The tennis players left the court for a few minutes. The meeting soon resumed.
The winner of the match between Ruud and Cilic will face Rafael Nadal in the final of the tournament.
