Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev said he had not contacted Andrei Rublev before their last match at the ATP-500 tournament in Dubai (UAE).
The match ended with the score 6:2, 6:2 in favor of Medvedev.
– No, of course, we did not write off and call each other before the final – we see each other on the courts (smiles). In this regard, nothing was said, since the two have been in the final several times, but never against each other. Therefore, probably, everyone was preparing for the final, as usual. Today we will be on the same plane heading to Indian Wells. Maybe we will discuss something, discuss something more,” Medvedev told the “Championship”.
Medvedev won his third consecutive ATP title. Previously, the 27-year-old Russian became the winner of the competitions in Doha and Rotterdam. In total, Medvedev has 18 singles trophies.
