Marta Kostyuk does not forget the difficult situation that has developed in Ukraine. After winning her first career WTA title, the 20-year-old tennis player thanked the Ukrainians who are fighting for their freedom in the war against the Kremlin occupiers.

“To everyone here in the stands, and to everyone watching on TV, especially in Ukraine, I want to say – Glory to Ukraine.

I would like to dedicate this title to Ukraine and all the people who are fighting and dying today.

It was a very special moment for me. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in organizing this tournament, it took a lot of time and work, it wasn’t easy.

Even in the draw, I said that I feel at home here,” said Kostyuk.

It will be remembered that Marta Kostyuk won her debut WTA title in singles, defeating the Russian Varvara Gracheva in the finals of the competition in Austin, USA.
