The Ukrainian knocked out the eighth seeded Jelle Sells from the Netherlands
Ukrainian tennis player Alexey Krutykh advanced to the second round of the tournament ATP Challenger in Swiss Lugano.
The Ukrainian beat the eighth seed Jelle Sells from the Netherlands in two sets. Alexey took three submissions of the opponent, losing one of his own. In the second game, Krutykh played a set point, after which he won three games in a row, ending the match.
Recall that another Ukrainian tennis player Vitaliy Sachko made it to the main draw of the tournament in Lugano. In the first round, the Ukrainian will play with the Swiss Jakub Paul, who received a wild card.
Krutykh remains the only representative of Ukraine in the top 300 of the ATP rankings. Alexey has lost two positions in the last week and is ranked 162nd in the world ranking.
