American tennis player Corey Gauff became a finalist at Roland-Garros.
In the semifinals, the 18-year-old Gauff (seeded 18) beat Italy’s Martina Trevisan 6-3, 6-1. The fight lasted 1h28.
Gauff became the youngest Grand Slam singles finalist since Russian Maria Sharapova in 2004, and also the youngest participant in a Roland Garros decisive match since 2001. On the way to the final, the American did not lost a single set.
In the final of the tournament, Gauff will play with the first racquet in the world, the Polish Iga Sventek.
