Zawatskaya stopped wrestling in Indian Wells
Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko started with a victory WTA 1000 tournament qualifiers in Indian Wells (USA).
In the semi-finals of the selection, Tsurenko won a strong-willed victory over the American Taylor Townsend in 2 hours and 13 minutes. On the tie-break of the first set, Lesya lost her advantage, losing five draws in a row. In the next two games, the Ukrainian lost only one game on her serve and made six breaks.
Lesya Tsurenko won her 15th match this year and will play against British tennis player Cathy Boulter for entering the main draw.
And here Katharina Zawatskaya lost in the qualification of the Indian Wells tournament to the German tennis player Eva Lis. In the second set, Zavatskaya bounced back from a score of 2:4, and then switched the game to a tie-break, during which she lost two rallies on her serve.
Note that Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk And Dayana Yastremskaya will start the tournament in Indian Wells from the main draw.
