Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev gave an assessment to his next opponent at the Indian Wells Masters tournament, the Briton Cameron Norrie in the game of which he saw similarities with the game of Daniil Medvedev.
Rublev earlier today in the third round of the tournament defeated Frenchman Hugo Humbert in two games.
– Cameron, to be honest, reminds me a bit of Medvedev. He likes to play very low and backhand. He loves to counterattack, waiting for you to make mistakes to entice you to fire off extra shots. So let’s see. It will be, I think, a really tough match, and we will see what happens,” the ATP press service quoted Rublev as saying.
Rublev’s match with Norrie in the tournament’s Round of 16 is scheduled for March 14.
