Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal will take part in the Monte Carlo Masters Series tournament, which will be held from April 9-16, tournament director David Massey said.
Rafa was the first player to show up. He wants to play and he wants to be in this tournament, which he loves so much,” Marca said citing Massey.
In mid-January, after losing in the second round of the Australian Open, 36-year-old Nadal underwent a medical examination which revealed a second-degree muscle injury to his left leg. He was prescribed rest and physiotherapy for 6-8 weeks.
The Spaniard won eleven singles titles in Monte Carlo, including a record eight consecutive titles between 2005 and 2012.
