Kasatkina dropped to 12th place in the WTA rankings, Pavlyuchenkova fell 62 positions

russian woman Daria Kasatkina rose from 20th to 12th place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking, the new version of which is published on the organization’s official website.

Kasatkina reached the French Open semi-finals last week, where she lost to the eventual winner of the competition, Poland’s Ige Sventek, who tops the WTA list. Roland Garros 2021 runner-up Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, who finished the season earlier than expected and missed the 2022 tournament, has dropped 62 positions and is now in 83rd place.

Estonian Anett Kontaveit moved up to second place, Spaniard Paula Badosa to third, Tunisian Ons Jaber to fourth. Arina Sobolenko of Belarus also improved her position in the top 10 to sixth, Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic moving up to seventh. The American Jessica Pegula (8th row, best result of her career) entered the top ten.
