Organizer of successful international tournaments St. Petersburg Open (ATR) and St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy (WTA) Vladimir Kamelzon turns 85 on March 17.
His coaching experience is over 62 years. During this time, Kamelzon trained more than 40 Masters of Sports of the USSR, Honored Masters of Sports, Masters of Sports of international class.
Among his students are such well-known players as Elena Eliseenko, Marina Kroshina, Alexander Kolyaskin, Yuri Filev, Viktor Egorov, Vladimir Bogdanov, Andrey Stolyarov, Tatyana Panova, Evgenia Linetskaya, Vitaly Dyachenko, Daria Gavrilova, Evgeny Donskoy, Vladimir Melnikov, Maya Katsitadze and other famous athletes.
Kamelzon is also a board member of the Russian Tennis Federation and a member of the organization’s coaching council.
Vladimir Naumovich to this day goes to court and continues to be active in his favorite sport.
