Billie Jean King Cup qualification scheduled for April 14-15, 2023
Team’s bid announced Czech Republic for the qualifying match Billie Jean King Cup against Ukraine.
The Czech team includes Barbora Kreychikova, Kateryna Sinyakova, Linda Noskova, Karolina Muchova and Marketa Vondrousova.
Recently, Ukraine published its application. Our country will be represented by Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya, Katarina Zavatskaya and Lyudmila Kichenok.
Ukraine will host the fight with the Czech Republic. Due to the Russian invasion, it is currently impossible to hold a match in our country. Therefore, the meeting will be held in Turkey, on the basis of the Mega Saray Club Belek hotel on open clay courts.
The Billie Jean King Cup qualification is scheduled for April 14-15, 2023. The winner will be eligible to advance to the final tournament, which will be held in the fall of 2023.
In April, the Ukrainian national team, consisting of Dayana Yastremska, Katarina Zavatskaya and the Kichenok sisters, lost to the United States in qualifying. However, thanks to the triumph over Japan, the blue-yellows again got a chance to participate in the fight for the trophy.
