Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova, on the refusal of Canadian Bianca Andreescu, reached the quarterfinals of the representative tournament in Miami.
Andreescu needed a medical break during the second set, after which she refused to continue the fight. At this point, Andreescu was leading the match 2-0, but lost the first set.
In the quarterfinals of the tournament, Alexandrova will play with Czech Petra Kvitova, who in her turn beat Russian Varvara Gracheva in two games – 7: 5, 7: 6 (7: 5).
