Italian tennis player Yannick Sinner said the pitch helped him beat the Russian Andrei Rublev in the fourth round of the Masters Series tournament in Miami (USA).
On Tuesday, Rublev (6th seed) lost to Sinner (10) with the score 2:6, 4:6.
– I am very satisfied with today’s performance. Playing against Andrey is always difficult. He serves very well and plays aggressively so I had to change my game a bit. My level of tennis today was excellent, I felt good on the court, so I hope I can continue in the same spirit at next round.
I think I served better, it was probably my best game in Miami. I just tried to play, following the right tactics, — quotes the words of a 21-year-old Italian website ATP.
In the quarter-finals of the tournament, Sinner will face Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori.
