Russian Daniel Medvedev won the final of the Masters tennis tournament in Miami (USA).
In the deciding match, the Russian tennis player defeated the Italian in straight sets Yannika Sinner – 7:5, 6:3. The players spent a total of 1h34 on the pitch.
Medvedev won the Miami tournament for the first time in his career. He won the 19th ATP tournament of his career in singles.
For the Russian, it was the fifth consecutive final. Previously, he had victories at tournaments in Rotterdam, Doha and Dubai, and lost to Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the recent Masters final in Indian Wells.
This year, Medvedev has won 29 games out of 31 – he is the leader in the circuit in terms of victories.
