Rafael Nadal recovering at home after receiving treatment for his injured left leg.

The Spanish tennis player in Barcelona underwent treatment with “pulsed radiofrequency stimulation”, a spokesperson for the athlete said. The procedure was aimed at reducing pain in the nerves.

“Rafa is already at home and will spend three or four days doing normal physical activity for maintenance. Depending on the effect of the treatment, he will resume training on the court later. We do not exclude that a second treatment to be carried out next week,” Nadal’s spokesperson said.

Earlier Nadal won Roland Garros, after the final the tennis player admitted that he played the match with painkillers. Rafa noted that he was not yet sure whether he would attend the next Wimbledon, which is scheduled for June 27-July 10.
