“The match was a bit strange” – Medvedev after beating Simon

Russian Daniel Medvedev shared his impressions of the game with Gilles Simon in the match of the second round of the tournament in the Netherlands ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

The 26-year-old beat the Frenchman 7-5, 6-4 on Thursday, bouncing back from 2-5 in the first set.

– The match was a bit strange – especially for the grass. Fortunately, we managed not to lose the second set and moved on to the next round. I am very happy, — quotes the words of Medvedev Tennis TV.

The next opponent of the Russian, who missed the first round, will be Belarusian Ilya Ivashko. He beat Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori in straight sets.
