Russian Karen Khachanov lost to Canadian Felix Auger-Alyassime in the quarter-final match of the tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
The match lasted 1h49. In the first game Khachanov lost in a tie-break, in the second he gave up a game on his serve with the score 3: 3, failing to win back.
The day before, Khachanov played a difficult match in three sets against the Pole Kamil Mayhshak, the Russian managed to regain the match point and snatch the victory.
Auger-Alyassime’s opponent in the semi-finals will be Dutchman Tim van Rijthoven, who sits 205th in the ATP rankings. Daniil Medvedev, whose quarter-final match with Belarusian Ilya Ivashko begins later on Friday, could face Adrian Mannarino in the other semi-final.
