Tabilo suffers again on court ahead of Wimbledon: Queen’s ATP debut and farewell

After his elimination at the ATP 250 in S-Hertogenbosh, Ale again produced an opaque performance on grass, as the Grand Slam approached. Now he fell 6-2 and 6-3 against Frenchman Quentin Halys and was eliminated from the London tournament, showing himself far from the level he showed before the injury which forced him to withdraw from Roland Garros.

Alejandro Tabilo has yet to meet his best version. After being out for about a month with a left arm injury and returning to action with a crash against Karen Khachanov in the first round of ATP 250 at S-Hertogenbosh, which took place in the -Down, the Chilean tennis player added another loss on his Queen’s ATP debut, which is played in England.

The left-hander had one of his darkest days in terms of level and lost to Frenchman Quentin Halys (88th), 6-2, 6-3, bidding farewell to the tournament after the dragging duel one hour and five minutes. The grass court tour before Wimbledon was not the best for the national so he will have to work hard to make it to the Grand Slam.

Jano suffered from start to finish against his opponent’s play. The Frenchman set the pace of the game and moved the Chilean from side to side, who looked uncomfortable in both serves and responses and couldn’t do anything to thwart the solidity of his opponent. Halys didn’t waste his break options and made it difficult for Tabilo in the first set, forcing him to react.

The tone of the meeting, however, did not change. Ale continued to suffer with the Frenchman’s good performances. And despite the fact that he tried to give a little more fight to try to extend the match to a third set, his rival once again showed efficiency in his options to break his serve early and thus head for victory which allowed him to settle in the last phase of the London contest qualy.

Tabilo once again passed the bill for his weeks of recovery and was far from the performance he displayed before the injury which forced him to be expelled from Roland Garros. Now you will have to analyze the option of registering or not for the competitions that will take place in Eastbourne or Mallorca, and that they will also be played on the grass surface, in which, for the moment, the left-hander could not register joys before Wimbledon.
