Ukrainian won in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina advanced to the singles final WTA 1000 in Rome (Italy).
In the semi-finals of the tournament, the Ukrainian beat the Russian Veronika Kudermetova, who plays in a neutral status. Tennis players spent 2 hours and 53 minutes on the court.
Kalinina won the first set 7:5, but lost with a similar score in the second. In the decisive set, the Ukrainian tennis player left no chance to her opponent.
It was the third meeting between tennis players. Angelina won the second fight.
During the tournament, the Ukrainian first knocked out Anastasia Blinkova, then passed the American Sophia Kenin and Madison Keys. In the quarterfinals, Kalinina defeated 12th seed Beatriz Haddad Maia from Brazil in three sets.
In the final of the tournament, Kalinina will play with the winner of the match Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) – Elena Ostapenko (Latvia).
