Athletistic/Tennis. 20-year-old Danish tennis player Holger Rune, ranked seventh in the ATP rankings, managed to break through in the final of the Masters Series clay court tournament in Rome, Italy.
In the semifinals, Rune (7) defeated the world’s fourth racket, Norway’s Kasper Ruud (4), with a score of 6:7 (2:7), 6:4, 6:2, playing a set and pause. The match lasted 2 hours and 43 minutes. Rune completed an ace, double faulted and converted four out of four break points. Ruud had nine aces, six double faults and one converted break point out of six.
In the final of the tournament, Rune will fight for his second career Masters title (the first was won in Paris in 2022), he will face the winner of the match between the Russian Daniil Medvedev (3) and the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (5) .
