Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova entered the top ten in the updated Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) championship race on May 22.
The Russian has moved from 13th to 8th position, with 1498 points to the credit this season. Last week, she reached the semi-finals of the Rome tournament, where she lost to Ukrainian Angelina Kalinina. Kalinina herself, thanks to her arrival in the final, moved from the 44th to the 16th line.
Belarus representative Arina Sobolenko continues to lead the race, she is chased by Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) and Iga Swiatek (Poland).
