Fast and Furious X’s Most Awesome Cars

The tenth installment of the franchise has once again driven fans crazy with exclusive super sports cars that blend classic models that have appeared in previous films as protagonists.

One of this year’s most anticipated (and delayed) movies has finally had its world premiere. Fast and Furious X, the tenth installment in the franchise, hit theaters months late, but generated the same excitement among fans, who were waiting to see the adventures of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) opposite Dante Reyes ( Jason Momoa).

Emotion and adrenaline were a fixed element in the bet of French director Louis Leterrier, who directed one of the “Fast and Furious” films for the first time.

The Frenchman is a declared admirer of this franchise, in fact, a few months ago he stressed that for him it was a dream to have joined the team.

“I wanted to go back to the cars, so what you’ll see is the cinematography of the cars and the characters will be in action. It’s non-stop action and storytelling. It’s all about love and family,” Leterrier commented when asked about the film, which notes the return of Jason Statham and the re-appearance of Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena and Brie Larson.

Fast and furious cars

The tenth Fast and Furious film had a stellar opening, as it had the second-best opening of the year worldwide, with a total gross of $318.9 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In the film, the cars once again become central characters, with important nods to scenes from previous films. And as is usually the tradition, sports cars are the ones that generate the most impact and they are surely also the ones that have increased the cost of production.

Pagani Huayna Tricolère : The most expensive seen in Fast and Furious (at least as a “list” price) is an ultra-exclusive sports car created as a tribute to the Italian Air Force’s aerobatic squadron on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

The brand created by Argentinian Horacio Pagani had already participated in the sixth installment with a Pagani Zonda, but now it shines with one of the three manufactured blocks of the Huayna Tricolore, which develops more than 850 horsepower and has a price close to 7 million bucks. Incredible, it was Roman Pearce’s dream come true.

1970 Dodge Charger R/T : the most classic and emblematic of the saga. Dominic Toretto restored this model with his father and still appears in the cinema with Vin Diesel. He’ll be in key scenes again, from a conversation with his son to a street race against villain Dante Reyes.

Datsun 240Z : The Japanese classic with a deep yellow color is piloted by Daniela Melchior, who is making her debut in the saga. She is the sister of Elena Neves (Elsa Pataki), a police officer who appeared in the fifth episode set in Rio de Janeiro, who had a relationship with Toretto.

Hennessey Venom F5 Coupe : another of the luxuries that the production has given itself. The super sports car is priced close to $2.75 million and exceeds 435 kilometers per hour. Tej Parker (Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges) takes care of that, but we’re not going to spoil his use.

Chevrolet Impala SS: a classic from 1966. With its purple color, it was modified by a Drud racer from whom it was purchased and has a nearly 9 liter V8 engine that far exceeds the power and speed with which it was sported in the decade of ’60. The color matched Dante’s wardrobe and Jason Mamoa’s character nails.

DeLorean : the prototype of the new edition of the model that has become eternal like the time machine in Back to the future. This time, it’s featured as an advanced, tech-laden vehicle commanded by Cipher (Charlize Theron).

Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat : The American firm has become a great ally of Fast and Furious and in this edition it delivered the Hellcat super sports edition, which was practically unchanged. According to the press, 15 units of this sports car were used to occupy the scenes with the greatest action.

nissan : Tess (Brie Larson) makes her debut in the saga as the daughter of Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) and shines at the wheel of the Japanese two-seater, which will not be the most expensive of the used cars, but she certainly is one favourites. With a striking blue color, it has undergone practically no modifications, since it was presented on the market only a few days before the start of filming.

Harley Davidson Pan America : not only cars are seen in the film. Super villain Dante (Jason Mamoa), a well-known motorcycle enthusiast, is seen at the controls of a Pan America, but modified and lightened for easier travel. Mamoa’s closeness to motorcycles is such that he has done several scenes himself.

Alfa Romeo 2000GT: Yes, although it is not the most common in this saga, here you can see an Italian representative that gives it elegance and sportiness. This is a 1971 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT whose color is reminiscent of the Mazda RX7. It is driven by Han and is perfectly suited to the narrow Italian streets.

1966 Ford Fairlane: A classic of the North American industry. He is seen in pursuit of the bridge where Toretto struggles to save his son from Dante Reyes.

Chevrolet El Camino: Also from the classics category. In the film, Jakob Toretto (John Cena), Dom’s brother, is behind the wheel during the chase that takes place on the bridge in Los Angeles.

McLaren Senna: one of the flagships of this edition of Fast and Furious. The sports car that bears the surname of F1’s greatest driver uses a twin-turbo V8 engine that develops around 780 horsepower.

Lamborghini Gallardo: in the film, you can see when a row of Hummer H2s are led by a gold-plated Lamborghini Gallardo. Unfortunately, we see him for a few seconds, since he “sacrificed” himself for a bomb in the Vatican.
