Russian tennis player Erika Andreeva defeated Australian Olivia Gadetsky in the second round of Roland Garros qualifying.
The meeting of the 18-year-old Russian woman with her opponent lasted about 2.5 hours, Andreeva won in three sets. Gadetsky committed 11 double faults on the field without making a single ace.
For the right to play in the main draw at Roland Garros, Andreeva will compete with the representative of Serbia, Olga Danilovich.
Earlier, Russian Maria Timofeeva also reached the qualifying final – she defeated Maya Khvalinskaya of Poland. Now 19, Timofeeva will play with an opponent from the United States, Taylor Townsend.
Another Russian tennis player Anastasia Zakharova won the first set of the match with Tamara Zidansek of Slovenia but then missed out on victory.
