Athletistic/Tennis. Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk has reacted to the statement by world second racket Arina Sobolenko from Belarus, who claimed that Kostyuk hated her. Kostyuk pointed out that she came to the tournament aiming to win every game and the only thing she didn’t do was shake hands. She said she never showed hatred towards Sobolenko or anyone else.
Kostyuk stressed that tennis means more to her than development, money and comfort. The main thing for her is the ability to make positive changes and influence the world. She noted that Sobolenko, being such a popular athlete, had a large following and influence, but she refused to use him for positive purposes. Kostyuk asked what message Sobolenko sends to the world with his actions. She also noted that she doesn’t hate players from Russia and Belarus, just doesn’t respect them.
