The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has presented an updated ranking on the official website ahead of the start of Roland Garros.
There was no change in the top twenty, the leader of the ranking is the Polish tennis player Iga Sventek. Representative of Belarus Arina Sobolenko retained second place, American Jessica Pegula also remained in the top three.
Russia’s best tennis player remains Daria Kasatkina ranked ninth. Anna Blinkova who reached the final of the Strasbourg tournament, moved up 10 places: from 66th to 56th. Anastasia Potapova lost a line, taking 25th place.
On Sunday, May 28, the Roland Garros main draw matches will begin. The tournament will be held in Paris and will last until June 11.
