President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Shamil Tarpishchev called the decision of the organizers of the US Open to allow Russians to participate in the tournament logical and correct.
On Tuesday, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) said it would allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete under a neutral flag at the US Open.

It’s a positive factor, and our best athletes will play on an equal footing with everyone else. The US Open will be held in New York from August 29 to September 11.
