Kalinina: I don’t want to throw everything off for injury. This is tennis. I left so I was ready

Angelina was defeated in the first round of Roland Garros

Angelina Kalinina commented on her defeat in the first round Roland Garros. The first racket of Ukraine paid tribute to her opponent, Dian Parry.

“I don’t want to throw everything off for injury. This is tennis. I left, so I was ready. I played the best I could today. The opponent played just brilliantly today. It was really great. And I can’t say that I started this match well, because it was a real failure, ”said Kalinina.

“The first time I felt in rhythm was the end of the second set, the last three games. For such a level, for such a tournament, for such a match, where the opponent plays simply superbly, it’s too late to join the game at the end. I started badly, but she played perfectly.”

“The leg injury went away, but it affected my training because I moved much less than normal. I finished the tournament in Rome on Saturday and until Thursday I just lay and worked on my leg – physio, massage, rehab. After Thursday, I already started training, but I could not work at full strength right away. ”

Kalinina lost to Parry in two sets – 2:6, 3:6. Recall that in mid-May, a Ukrainian due to a leg injury could not finish the final match of the tournament in Rome.
