Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Anna Blinkova, ranked 56th in the world rankings, has reached the third round of Roland-Garros. In the second round match, which lasted 2 hours and 53 minutes, she beat world No. 5 Caroline Garcia with a score of 4:6, 6:3, 7:5.
During the encounter, Blinkova landed five aces, managed to convert five out of ten break points and committed eight double faults. Garcia had four aces, four converted break points of 18 and seven double faults.
Blinkova was able to seal the win on her ninth match point attempt.
In the third round, the Russian is expected to play with Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, who previously beat Australian tennis player Storm Hunter, who fought her way to the qualifying stage.
