Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev, ranked seventh in the world rankings, lost a match for the first time in his career as he led 2-0 in sets. In the third round of the Roland Garros tournament in 2023, he lost to Italian Lorenzo Sonego 5:7, 0:6, 6:3, 7:6 (7:5), 6: 3.
It should also be noted that the Italian tennis player managed to turn the tide for the first time, winning the match losing 0:2. Sonego beat a top 10 opponent for the sixth time and did so for the first time in a major tournament.
In the next round of Roland Garros, Andrei Rublev’s aggressor will meet another Russian tennis player, Karen Khachanov.
