Carolina bounced back 2-5 in the third set
Czech tennis player Karolina Muchova became the first singles finalist Roland Garros 2023.
In the 1/2 finals, Mukhova beat the second seed Arina Sobolenko. The match lasted 3 hours and 17 minutes.
In the first and second sets, the opponents exchanged victories in tie-breaks. In the third installment, Mukhova was 2-5 behind, but managed to win back the match point and return to the game. Then Carolina made two breaks and got the victory – 7:5.
Mukhova, 26, will play in a Grand Slam final for the first time in her career. Previously, her best result was the semi-finals of the Australian Open-2021.
In the final, Muchova will play with the winner of the match Iga Sventek (Poland, 1) – Beatrice Haddad-Maya (Brazil, 14).
